Binondo barangay chairman suspended for six months


A BARANGAY chairman in Binondo, Manila was suspended for six months for grave misconduct and abuse of authority. The Manila City Council through the Committee on Barangay Affairs ordered the suspension without pay of Domingo Vacal of Barangay 269, Zone 25. Complainants Rene Pinalba and Oliver Tagayon of Zosima Building, 861 Carmen Planas St. in Binondo said Vacal brandished his gun on them at 11:45 p.m. on November 30, 2013 during the victory party of the winning council members of Barangay 269 led by Kagawad Brando Alvaran and Mamay Ravanal, who both belong to the group of Vacal’s opponent.
