LEGAZPI CITY: The Bureau of Internal Revenue Region 10 officially unfurled its 2016 Tax Campaign at the Concourse Convention Center here led by Revenue District Officer Salvador Victorio Lasala recently. Keynote speaker, Deputy Comm. Nelson Aspe, noticed the performance of the region last year lauding its efforts for surpassing its 2014 actual collection. He said Region 10’s collection doubled from P750 billion in 2009 to almost P1.5 trillion in 2015. The average annual collection growth rate of around 16.67 percent shows the agency’s efficiency vis-à-vis the growth of the national economy of 6 percent on the average and the population yearly growth rate of around 1.2 percent.
