Barely a week after it released two revenue issuances that reduced the documentary requirements and processing time of Tax Clearance Certificates (TCCs) and of Certificates Authorizing Registration (CAR), the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) has announced that it will issue International Carrier’s Special Certificates (ICSC) and International General Carrier’s Certificate (IGCC) within the same day of filing.
Applications for the ICSC and IGCC shall be submitted directly to the Office of the Commissioner of Internal Revenue (OCIR).
Applications must contain all the required documents and submitted on or before 2 p.m. to ensure their release on the same day.
Those received after 2 p.m. in the afternoon will still be processed during the day.
Release on the same day, however, will depend on the volume of applications received for that day.
These applications are guaranteed to be released no later than the first hour of the following day.
Commissioner Caesar Dulay, in a statement on Wednesday, said his administration is coming up with more revenue issuances in the following days to cut down on red tape by reducing the number of documents or removing redundant or unnecessary requirements as well as by reducing the processing time in line with President Rodrigo Duterte’s call to fast-track processing of transactions in the government service.
