Bishop Roberto Mallari of the Commission on Catechesis and Catholic Education under the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has defended the increase in tuition in various Roman Catholic schools in the country.
In a statement over the weekend, Mallari blasted critics, saying the schools did not intend to raise their rates but were forced to do so to ensure that they can provide the highest quality of education.
