Bistek vetoes plate vest ordinance

QUEZON City Mayor Herbert Bautista vetoed the “Plaka Vest’’ ordinance citing the health and environment concerns before it can be signed to a law. Bautista designated Vice Mayor Joy Belmonte as head of the policy making body task to include pressing and other various concerns regarding the proposal. Amin Hamsa president of the Quezon City Motorcycle Federation (QCMF) hailed Bautista’s move citing that there are more appropriate solutions to deter riding in tandem gangs other than the approval of the “Plaka Vest” ordinance.
