PHILIPPINE BMW distributor Asian Carmakers Corp. (ACC) announced it has been appointed by the government to serve as the official premium vehicle partner in the 23rd World Economic Forum on East Asia (WEF-EA), which will br held on May 21 to 23 at a Makati hotel.
ACC said a fleet of BMW 7 Series luxury cars will be used during the global forum to transport visiting heads of states and other government officials coming from across Asia.
“ACC is honored to once again partner with the Philippine government as the official premium vehicle partner for the 23rd WEF-EA. We are delighted that our partnership with the government in efforts to boost the country’s economy, like during the 45th Asian Development Bank Annual Governors’ Meeting in May 2012, is sustained and, more importantly, strengthened,” said ACC President Maricar Parco.
ACC bared it is set to provide 25 7 Series cars for the duration of the forum. The vehicles will be turned over to the government in accordance with the partnership.
“We continuously showcase our full support to the government’s undertakings in ensuring that Asean member countries are resilient and adept in the face of unpredictable economic challenges by providing BMW vehicles with unmatched superior performance, comfort, safety and security,” the ACC chief added.
ACC said the flagship 7 Series “embodies sporting elegance, refined power train technology and luxurious comfort in equal measure.” The company noted the model is known as the “most innovative sedan in the luxury segment,” boasting “utmost ride comfort, a comprehensive selection of optional equipment and state-of-the-art safety technology.”
“Because of the qualities tied to BMW, the brand has become a preferred premium vehicle provider that services significant gatherings globally, including social, governmental and regional events,” said ACC Executive Director for Sales and Marketing Glen Dasig.
The WEF-EA, to be hosted by the Philippines for the first time, will discuss economic opportunities for the Asean Economic Community and will serve as a platform to showcase the economic growth of Asean member countries as they embrace good governance and anti-corruption policies.
ACC said it has now led the country’s luxury vehicle segment for 11 straight years.
