BOC dismisses bribed BOC Chief in Davao

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) has relieved Enforcement and Security Service (ESS)-Davao head Major Camilo Cascolan Jr. for allegedly receiving P2.5 million from a heavy equipment importer. Deputy Commissioner of the BOC Enforcement Group, Ariel Nepomuceno said that the relief order will take effect whether on Monday or today (March 18) against Cascolan. Citing the verbal complaints against Cascolan, Nepomuceno said that they have to relieve the official immediately to stop him from authorizing any duties at the port of Davao.
