BOGUS MONEY TRADERS COLLARED IN ISABELA

CAUAYAN CITY: The Philippine National Police (PNP) has arrested Monday four suspected fake money traders who were in possession of at least 100 pieces of P1,000 fake bills in Ramon town in Isabela. Police Insp. Vicente Blancad, PNP chief of Ramon town, said that, the arrested suspects were Danilo Tejada, 59; Mary Anne Labon, Mary Joy Sandoval, 42, and Dolores Napon, 68, all residents of Caloocan City. Blancad said that, Milagros Bruno, owner of a variety store, reported to the police as soon as she found out that a P1,000 peso bill she received from her customers was fake. This has led to the arrest of said suspects, police said. Seized from the suspects were 107 pieces of P1,000 fake bills and cash amounting to P55,000, allegedly their proceeds from the illegal trade.
