Bomb threat alarms NPO employees

OPERATIONS at the National Printing Office (NPO) were halted following a bomb threat from an unknown caller, it was learned on Friday.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Thursday afternoon when Imelda Catiis, an employee of NPO, received a phone call from an unidentified woman who claimed that a bomb was planted inside the said establishment.

The caller went on to say that people must leave the place immediately.

Production Division personnel Grace Enriquez instructed security to relay the information to the authorities.

The Quezon City Police District immediately deployed its bomb squad led by Police Officer 1 Noel Sublay to conduct paneling and thoroughly comb the area for any traces of explosives.

It turned out, however, that the call was a prank.
