LONDON: British energy giant BP said Tuesday it will take an additional charge of $1.7 billion (1.4 billion euros) in the fourth quarter of 2017 linked to the Gulf of Mexico oil spill disaster in 2010.
And BP said in a statement it also expects to be hit by an additional $3.0 billion of Gulf-related costs this year, up from a previous estimate of $2.0 billion.
