SAO PAULO: Brazil’s former leader Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on Thursday (Friday in Manila) defiantly brushed aside his conviction on corruption charges and said he plans to run again for president next year.

“I’m still in the game,” the 71-year-old leftist politician told a news conference.
