She paved the way for what is now many a Filipina’s dream to become a wedding planner. Her name is Rita Neri, and her successful venture known as Rita Neri Event Planners (RNEP) joyously marked its 20th year anniversary in May.

RNEP has forged the way in professionalizing the events planning and coordination industry. Since its inception, the company has always made it a priority to give back to the industry with continuing planning seminars to help budding enthusiasts turn their passion into sustainable businesses.

As part of its anniversary celebration, RNEP partnered with another foremost name in the international wedding scene, Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Magazine, represented by its publisher and editorial director, Yanni Tzoumas, to highlight world class Filipino talent.

Grace Ormonde Wedding Magazine has built an enviable reputation in the wedding industry for creating the platforms for wedding specialists to showcase their products and services, while offering prospective brides and grooms a multitude of choices, ideas and alternatives for planning their wedding. The magazine has consistently made creativity and innovation hallmarks of their enterprises.

As editorial director and publisher of the magazine, Tzoumas works alongside Ormonde in bringing to readers the various wedding ideas and trends in the market.

Tzoumas flew in from New York to shoot various tablescapes by different event stylists from Cebu and Metro Manila. These worldclass designs will be featured in the upcoming
Fall Edition of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Magazine.

Another highlight of the anniversary celebration was a RNEP’s reach out with the children of Gentle Hands, a local charitable foundation for abused and abandoned children.

RNEP president Neri told The Sunday Times Magazine, “This is our way of thanking the Lord for all the blessings that He has continuously showered the RNEP team all throughout our 20 years existence.”

Asked what her company’s goals are for the next 20 years, Neri replied, “We want to continue help strengthen the local industry. RNEP would like to do our best in promoting the Philippines as one of the best destination countries in the world.”
