Proof that Filipinos patronize English brands, the British Embassy in Manila launched the second “Great British Shopping Raffle” with a fashion show at SM Mega Fashion Hall in Mandaluyong City on November 20.

Set against a carousel stage and festive decors and featuring 34 British brands present in the country, the fashion show highlighted the stylish and fashion-forward looks UK is best known for.

Encouraging Filipinos to enjoy shopping while getting the chance to win exciting prizes, British Ambassador Asif Ahmad expressed, “This is the perfect time to do your Christmas shopping. More British brands have been springing up across the country just in the past year, so your options are greater than ever. Filipinos no longer need to go abroad every time they want to buy British. Our brands have a global appeal tailored to the varied tastes of the Filipino market.”

On its second edition, the raffle becomes bigger with a full VIP experience in the UK as grand prize.

For every P3,000 worth of purchase in any of the 34 participating brands, get the chance to win a trip to the UK for two on Etihad Airways and experience London as a global capital for shopping and fashion. The winner will also receive four nights hotel accommodation, £500 pocket money from HSBC, Britrail passes from Baron Travel, a visit to Bicester Village designer outlets, VIP match tickets at Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, and luxe tickets to London Fashion Weekend in February 2016.

Other great prizes include a shopping spree worth P40,000 at M&S; P25,000 worth of giveaways from MINI Lifestyle, plus over P400,000 worth of shopping vouchers and gift packs from participating brands namely:

The contest will run across nearly 200 stores in Metro Manila and selected provinces until December 30.

The Great British Shopping Contest is part of the UK’s GREAT campaign that showcases the best of British business and culture. The campaign is led by the British Embassy Manila and UK Trade & Investment with its partners, the British Council Philippines, British Chamber of Commerce Philippines and the British Alumni Association.
