British Embassy revs up for the GREAT British Auto Show


It’s all systems go for the GREAT British Auto Show happening on May 31, Sunday, from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm at Capitol Commons in Pasig City. This unique gathering of classic and modern British vehicles promises stylish cars, good eats, fun prizes and more. Admission is free.

Modelled on car shows in the United Kingdom, the GREAT British Auto Show will feature owners of around 40 classic and modern British vehicles to highlight the industry’s rich heritage. Brand new showroom cars offer the latest technology and innovation. Food and drink stalls and fun activities throughout the day will add to the festive atmosphere.

Get a chance to meet fellow car enthusiasts and car owners to exchange car tips and ideas. Talk to auto dealers and learn more about the British cars on display. Six iconic British brands – Jaguar, Land Rover, MINI, Morgan, MG, Rolls Royce  – will show off style and substance. These are cars you want to be seen in and want to drive. Ambassador Asif Ahmad is inviting everyone to visit the GREAT British Auto Show. “Over the past few years, the presence of British car brands in the Philippines has almost doubled, and more brands like Aston Martin and Lotus are setting up shop here. Britain now makes more cars than ever before. Come to the GREAT British Auto Show and you will find a vehicle that suits your personality, whether you are quirky, stylish, low-key, high-profile, or prefer to go off road,” he said. Innovation, technology and heritage have driven the UK automotive industry’s success as a global center of excellence.

The UK is home to seven commercial vehicle manufacturers, seven mainstream car manufacturers, eight major premium and sports car manufacturers, eight out of 11 Formula 1 teams, 13 Research and Development centers and nine bus and coach manufacturers.
