    British School Manila standouts Heather White and Ruben White copped one gold, five silver and two bronze medals in the CANA Zone 3 Swimming Championship held in Rwanda.

    Heather won the lone gold medal in the girls’ 9-year 200m freestyle then got silver medals in 400m freestyle, 800m freestyle and 100m butterfly.

    She also bagged a bronze in 50m butterfly.

    Meanwhile, Ruben bagged silver medals in the boys’ 11-year 50m butterfly and 100m backstroke, as well as a bronze in 100m butterfly event of the competition participated by Tanzania, Zambia, Uganda, South Africa and host Rwanda.

    “They are product of Philippine Swimming League (PSL) grassroots developmental program. We are happy to know that they continue competing internationally to widen their competitive exposure,” said PSL President Susan Papa.

    “It’s not easy to compete in Rwanda since there are lots of good swimmers coming from that region. But we’re grateful that they won medals,” she added.

    The White siblings were members of the PSL team that saw action in Singapore and Japan recently.
