DENVER, Colorado: The NFL suspended Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller for six games on Tuesday for violating the league’s substance abuse policy. The 2011 Defensive Rookie of the Year will miss the first six games of the 2013 season. He’ll be eligible to play at Indianapolis on October 20. The Broncos open the season against the Super Bowl champion Baltimore Ravens on September 5, then face the New York Giants, Oakland Raiders, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys and Jacksonville Jaguars before Miller will be eligible to return.
