BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya: The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has set 10-hour power interruptions today in Ifugao and Nueva Vizcaya, and six-hour outages on Thursday in Ifugao and Isabela.
Lilibeth Gaydowen, NGCP North Luzon corporate communications and public affairs officer, said 10-hour power interruptions on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. will affect the distribution utilities Ifugao Electric Cooperative Inc. and Nueva Vizcaya Electric Cooperative Inc. (IFELCO).
Gaydowen said the power outages will be caused by the replacement of selected woodpoles and line hardwares along Bayombong-Lagawe 69-kilovolt line. To be affected are the towns of Lamut, Lagawe, Hingyon, Banaue, Mayoyao, Hungduan, Tinoc, Asipulo and Kiangan in Ifugao as well as the towns of Villaverde, Diadi, Quezon, Solano and Bagabag in Nueva Vizcaya.
For Thursday, Gaydowen said the six-hour power interruptions will be from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon will affect IFELCO and the Isabela Electric Cooperative Inc.
She said this will affect the towns of Alfonso Lista and Aguinaldo in Ifugao and the towns of Ramon, San Mateo and Cabatuan in Isabela to accommodate the request of ISELCO to do maintenance works.
NGCP said normal operations will immediately resume after work completion, and advised customers and the general public to take the necessary preparations and precautions for this scheduled power interruptions.
