SOME areas of Floridablanca in Pampanga will experience more than nine hours power outages on Tuesday.
According to the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP), the brownouts will be caused by the scheduled shutdown of some of its transmission facilities.
“This is to facilitate corrective maintenance works along Guagua-Basa 69-kV [kilovolt]line,” said NGCP.
The power interruption, NGCP added, will be from 8 am to 5:15 pm on April 14.
Affected by the power outage are areas being serviced by San Fernando Electric Light and Power Company (SFELAPCO) in Floridablanca, Pampanga
The NGCP also said that parts of San Fernando City, Pampanga will also experience two-hour brownouts on Saturday from 5 a.m. to 7 a.m.
This is to facilitate installation of SFELAPCO’s 69-kV Line 1’s conductor cover and load shifting of SFELAPCO Line 2 to Line 1 in implementing Luzon Substation Expansion Project 2.
The NGCP said normal operations will immediately resume after work completion.
The grid operator’s customers and the general public are advised to take the necessary preparations and precautions for the scheduled power interruptions.
