LOS ANGELES: Dallas Cowboys star receiver Dez Bryant faces an injury layoff after team officials confirmed Wednesday (Thursday in Manila) he had suffered a hairline knee fracture. Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett said an MRI taken early Wednesday had revealed the broken bone in Bryant’s right knee following Sunday’s win over the Chicago Bears. Bryant injured his knee during the Cowboy’s opening drive on Sunday. He later returned to the field to catch a 17-yard touchdown pass. The 27-year-old skipped practice on Wednesday and was on crutches, reports said.
