CAMP GEN. ALEJO SANTOS, Bulacan: Some 1,814 police personnel were deployed to various areas in the province on Monday in preparation for the May 9 synchronized elections.
Bulacan Police officer-in-charge, Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., led the send off of the police officers are mandated to safeguard the 2,513 Vote Counting Machines (VCM) and generally ensure secure and fair elections in the province.
The ceremony was attended by the election officers in 21 municipalities and three cities of Bulacan headed by lawyer Lydia Pangilinan, provincial election supervisor; officer and members of the Philippine Army’s 48th Infantry Battalion, led by Lt. Col. Eugenio Julio Osias; chiefs of police, and the non-commissioned officers.
During the Monday ceremony, the provincial Police led by Caramat read and signed the Oath of Non Partisanship to remind every police personnel to stay apolitical and steadfast in ensuring peace during the election process.
