Bulacan DRUG OPERATION kills 4, nabs 4


BULACAN: Four suspected drug pushers were killed while four others were arrested in an armed encounter with operatives of the Norzagaray Municipal Police Station-Municipal Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Force (MAIDSOTF) in Barangay Bigte, Norzagaray town on Thursday evening. Bulacan PNP Acting Provincial Director, Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr. identified the slain suspects as Michael Sumbillo;  Reyan Quirante; an alias “Allan” and an alias “Epoy”. Arrested were Arrian Caballes,  Mary Rose Nabo, Rofel Sia, and Josephine Venegas, all of the City of San Jose Del Monte, Bulacan. Norzagaray Police chief, Supt. Rizalino Andaya, said they served the search warrant on Sumbillo’s reported residence, which was allegedly used as a drug den. When policemen were fired upon by the suspects, a firefight ensued. Recovered from the crime scene were several short and long firearms, suspected shabu, of undetermined weight, drug paraphernalia and two motorcycle units reportedly used in drug dealing by the suspects.
