Bulakenyos kicked off their annual showcase of artistic and cultural heritage on Monday at the opening of Singkaban Fiesta 2013 in Malolos, Bulacan.
Gov. Wilhelmino Sy-Alva-rado led the opening rites at the Provincial Capitol building. He said that the theme of this year’s festival, “Makulay na Sining at Kalinangan: Bulacan Ipagmalaki at Ikarangal,” urged the Bula-kenyos to take pride in their long cultural history.
