MALOLOS, Bulacan: A member of the Bulacan Police, allegedly a victim of summary execution by vigilantes, was found dead with a cardboard note hanging around his neck on Thursday in Barangay Ubihan, City of Meycauayan.

The body of Police Officer 3 Michael Manalad bore multiple gun shot wounds and was left leaning on a post. He was wearing his police uniform and a cardboard note which read: “Pulis na pusher, wag tularan.”

Manalad, assigned at the Malolos City Police Station, is a native of Isabela, Basilan.
Acting Philippine National Police Provincial Director, Senior Supt. Romeo Caramat Jr., said Manalad was found positive in the recently conducted mandatory drug test.

Scene-of-the-Crime operatives found a medium-size plastic sachet of ‘shabu’ at the left upper pocket of Manalad’s police uniform.
