Bulacan Vice Gov’s bodyguard threatens reporter

A bodyguard of Bulacan vice governor Daniel Fernando threatened reporter Rommel Ramos and challenged him to a fight at a restaurant in Guiguinto. In a letter sent to the National Union of Journalists of the Philippines, Ramos said he had a misunderstanding with the vice governor a few weeks ago which led Fernando to call him to a meeting in what he believed was an attempt to talk things over. However, Ramos said the meeting quickly soured when Fernando began shouting at him. When Ramos raised his voice, Fernando’s bodyguard, Datsun Fulgar, shouted invectives at the reporter then pulled out his gun. He then challenged Ramos to a fight.
