TACLOBAN CITY: The Community Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) in Palo revealed that a permit to cut trees has already been issued by the central office of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) for the Burauen-Albuera road project under the Second Leyte Engineering District (LED). According to CENRO Manuel Ferreras, with the Burauen area under their jurisdiction, their office made an assessment of the affected trees at the ongoing multimillion-road project, and submitted the same to the DENR Central Office. “The permit was granted about two weeks ago, which means the Second LED can now continue their road project,” CENRO Ferreras said.
