Business taxpayers urged to pay early

Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista reminded local taxpayers, especially those who will be renewing their business permits and making first quarter payment for their businesses, to settle their tax obligations early, to avoid penalties and surcharges. Bautista said the city government will be extending the working hours of all city hall offices involved in tax assessment and payments in January to accommodate taxpayers. City Administrator Aldrin C. Cuña said the city government will start accepting payments beginning January 5. Quezon City has over 60,000 registered business establishments.
