THE Court of Appeals has affirmed the ouster of former Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Commissioner Alfredo Po after he was arrested in an entrapment operation in December two years ago. Po was charged for allegedly demanding commission from the owner of a building leased by the PRC in Baguio City. On May 16, 2013, the Ombudsman resolved the case of Po and in the administrative findings, he was found guilty of grave misconduct and violation of Republic Act (RA) No. 6713, also known as The Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees. Po was dismissed from service and all his retirements benefits forfeited. He was also perpetually disqualified from holding any government position. The Department of Justice also indicted Po for robbery, direct bribery and graft.

  1. MEC, PSME MEMBER on

Civil cases filed by PSME involving Mr. Po should also be resolved now. Mr. Po allegedly used his power to bankrupt PSME during his term as chairman of BME.

  2. Brilliant, another scum person who thinks he is so special has been caught & punished, its a pity he hasnt also gone to jail for 10 years or more as thats what is needed in these cases. Also i cant understand why anyone in these positions of applying for something or dealing with an official doesnt secretly record both on film & sound their dealings. If all is above board fine, throw it away but if corruption raises its ugly head then you have the culprit bang to rights.
