• CA asked to compel QC school to issue good moral certificate to salutatorian

The student of a Catholic school in Quezon City, who was stopped by school personnel from delivering her salutatory address in March this year has asked the Court of Appeals (CA) to order her school to issue a Certificate of Good Moral Character. In an Extremely Urgent Petition, Krisel Mallari, through her father, Ernesto Mallari and the Public Attorney’s Office, pointed out that she requested for the certificate as part of the requirements of the accountancy program at the University of Sto. Tomas. The petition stated that if the school fails to issue a certificate, this “will put my education to a halt and my future in jeopardy.”
