CA gives green light to prosecute 2010 bar exams bomber


The Court of Appeals (CA) on Thursday has given a green light to prosecute and put on trial the accused during the 2010 Bar Examination blast on Taft Avenue, Manila, that resulted in the injury of several law students. This after the appellate court affirmed the order of the Department of Justice in filing of multiple frustrated murder, multiple attempted murder, and illegal possession of explosives against Anthony Leal Nepomuceno. In the findings of the National Bureau of Investigation, which e ndorsed the filing of the criminal complaint, the accused allegedly used an MK 2 type fragmentation grenade as a result of an alleged fraternity war.
