The Civil Aeronautics Board (CAB) has issued an advisory ordering all flights from the Arabian peninsula to secure health checklist prior to disembarkation.
The advisory is in connection to the preparation and response measures being undertaken by the Department of Health (DOH) to prevent the entry of Middle East Respiratory Syndrome- Corona Virus (MERS-Cov) from which the country is in heightened alert status.
According to CAB executive director Carmelo Arcilla, the said health checklist must come from the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) which will then be disseminated to passengers on board before leaving the aircraft.
CAB’s advisory aims to assist the BOQ, through the Medical Quarantine, to intercept passengers suspected of having the said disease. PNA
