• Café France crushes Blustar


    Carl Bryan Cruz led Café France to a convincing 98-83 win over Blustar Detergent on Tuesday in the 2016 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Developmental League (D-League) Foundation Cup at the Jesus Christ Saves Global Outreach gym in Cubao, Quezon City.

    Café France, unbeaten in three games, is sharing the top of standings with Aspirants’ Cup champion Phoenix.

    Cruz finished with 19 points on 8-of-12 shooting in the field plus five rebounds. Jess Mar Villahermosa and Paul Zamar added 17 points and 15 points, respectively.

    Samboy De Leon contributed 12 points; Mike Parala 11 points while Rodrigue Ebondo had 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds also for Café France.

    In the first game, Racal rebounded from its frustrating 79-83 loss to Café France on Thursday by crushing Topstar Zamboanga City (ZC) 102-83 to improve its win-loss record to 2-1.

    Forward Jonathan Grey posted 20 points on 8-of-14 shooting in the field plus three rebounds and three steals while Philip Paniamogan finished with 16 points for the Tile Masters.

    Joseph Terso contributed 13 points, Dexter Maiquez added 11 points and seven rebounds, while Chris Javier had 10 points.
