Cagayan Province struck back in a brilliant second set squeaker and went on to stop erstwhile unbeaten Smart-Maynilad, 25-23, 26-24, 25-20, and fuel its own win drive in the Shakey’s V-League Season 10 Open Conference at The Arena in San Juan City on Tuesday.
The Rising Suns rose from a 19-22 deficit and outlasted the Net Spikers in an extended second set duel then wore down their undermanned rivals in the third to complete a surprise straight-set victory in one-hour and 18 minutes.
