CAMP VICENTE LIM, LAGUNA: The police in Calabarzon passed its application for the Initiation Stage of the Performance Governance System (PGS) Reporting and Certification process of the Philippine National Police (PNP), with a grade of 92.4 percent, the highest in the PNP.

The program was part of the PNP PGS-ITP Roadmap 2030 anchored from the PNP Integrated Transformation Program (PNP ITP) which was put into place in 2005 developed as a 10-year program that would serve as the organization´s roadmap toward long lasting reforms, to address organizational dysfunctions, improve the quality of police services, strengthen law enforcement capabilities, and enhance the welfare and benefits of PNP personnel and their dependents. Using the PNP ITP as its core foundation, the PNP PGS was then formulated focusing towards the achievement of the PNP Vision of becoming a highly capable, effective and credible police service. The PGS is a program designed to raise the standards of governance practice. With this, PNP Governance Scorecard was developed as a tool used to measure and evaluates performance indicating specific measures, targets, and initiatives.
