• Caloocan gets its 3rd DILG award


    Caloocan City received three awards this year—“Seal of Good Local Governance”, “Seal of Good Financial Housekeeping” and 2015 Local Legislative Award—from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). The City Council was also named second placer in the highly urbanized city category with 94% rating from the DLG evaluators. Maria Lourdes Agustin, DILG NCR Director, said Caloocan City Council was awarded as the second 2015 Local Legislative Award due to its orderly records and office management, with exemplary performance in legislative measures relevant to the city’s development. Mayor Oscar Malapitan congratulated the City Council headed by Vice-Mayor Macario Asistio 3rd saying “(the) award is a manifestation that the city government is truly responsive to the needs of the people, and doing its best to improve the lives of its constituents”.
