Capitol workers bid Tupas goodbye


ILOILO CITY: Workers at the Iloilo Provincial Capitol bid their former governor final goodbye as the body of the late Gov. Niel Tupas Sr. was laid for six hours at the capitol lobby. Tupas’ body brought home from Manila on Friday and brought to the capitol for viewing for a Necrological Mass was held at 2 p.m. Senate President Franklin M. Drilon, second district Congressman Arcadio Gorriceta and incumbent Iloilo Governor Arthur Defensor Sr., delivered tribute to the late governor. Tupas’ body was later brought to his house in Jaro where it will stay for four days and to his hometown Barotac Viejo on December 1. Internment will be announced later.
