CAR OFW RETURNEES GET LIVELIHOOD GRANTS

BAGUIO CITY: Twenty-five overseas Filipino worker (OFW) returnees to the Cordilleras can now start family businesses or expand existing ones with the P10,000 livelihood grant awarded to each at the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration Regional Office here recently. The grant is part of a program of the National Reintegration Center for OFWs of the Department of Labor and Employment. It is given to OFW returnees and repatriates who have been terminated from their work, have finished their work contract and have decided to stay in the country for good. Ten of the beneficiaries were from Baguio City, 11 from Benguet, two from Abra and one each from Apayao and Kalinga.
