BAGUIO CITY: The Cordillera Region has recorded nine firecracker victims in nine days, December 21- 29, health authorities said. The victims were all male with the youngest aged seven and the oldest, 26. Five of the injured were in Baguio City, where sale of firecrackers and pyrotechnic devices is banned. Abra has four cases. “Piccolo,” a firecracker, was the cause of most of the injuries. The Baguio-Benguet Pailaw Association has transferred to Tuba, Benguet, to display regulated firecrackers after they were barred from selling in the city two years ago.
