• Caraga consortium on good governance launched


    BUTUAN CITY: The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Caraga through its Local Governance Regional Resource Center and local resource institutes (LRIs) formally entered into a partnership for the creation of Caraga Consortium on Good Governance (CCGG) through the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) recently. The Caraga Consortium on Good Governance was formed for the purpose of knowledge-sharing by promoting experiential learning of students of the LRIs and improving the delivery of basic services of local government units through research-based policy making. DILG Caraga Regional Director Lilibeth Famacion said the CCGG will strengthen the awareness of the academe in the field of local governance and encourage their participation in all the activities concerning local governments. The LRIs that are included in the project are Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology, Caraga State University, Father Saturnino Urios University, Philippine Normal University, Saint Joseph Institute of Technology, Saint Paul University Surigao, Surigao del Norte College of Technology and Surigao del Sur State University.
