THINGS did not turn out good for Manila Archbishop Luis Cardinal Tagle when he arrived on Saturday at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) terminal 3 from Spain without his luggage.
The 58-year-old Cardinal waited for almost an hour with airport chaplain Msgr. Modesto Teston at the terminal 3’s VIP room only to be told that his luggage was missing.
Tagle hoped to locate his luggage, which contained important personal belongings.
A staff of Cathay Pacific Airways said that Tagle’s luggage may have gone astray because he
had connecting flights from Spain to Canada before taking Cathay Pacific.
As Asia’s most prominent Roman Catholic prelate, Cardinal Tagle sings on stage, preaches on TV, and reduces churchgoers to laughter and tears with his often light-hearted sermons.
He was advised to file a complaint with the airline in order to locate his luggage.
