CARJACKERS took a sports utility from a group of men at gunpoint near Mandaluyong City Hall on Saturday. Rafael Viola and his friends just came out from a bar-grill along San Rafael Street in Barangay Plainview and were about to board a gray-black Montero when four armed men approached them at 3:45 a.m. The suspects took the vehicle (UOA-741) and fled toward an unknown direction. Police are still tracking the vehicle and the carjackers. In 2011, members of the Dominguez carjacking gang were accused of killing car dealer Emerson Lozano, son of high-profile lawyer Oliver Lozano, after taking a Kia Carnival the younger Lozano was selling in January. In April 2012, a Bulacan court sentenced suspected gang leader Raymond Dominguez to up to 30 years in jail after convicting him in a 2010 carjacking case.
