The local government of Zamboanga City on Friday released cash assistance to 10 families displaced by flash flood and landslide that recently hit the city. The local government released a total of P42,000 to the 10 families, giving each P3,000 to P5,000. The local government awarded P3,000 to families whose houses were partially damaged by the recent calamity while families whose houses were totally destroyed received P5,000. Recepients of the cash assistance came from several barangay in Upper Calarian, Patalon, Labuan, and Limpapa. It has been the policy of the local government since the previous administrations to give out cash assistance to victims of natural calamity and disaster.
