Former world champion Johnriel Casimero is ready for another shot at the world title when he faces International Boxing Federation (IBF) flyweight world champion Amnat Ruenrong of Thailand on June 27 at the Hua Mark Indoor Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. In his last bout in March 7 this year, Ruenrong (15-0 with 5 KOs) scored a unanimous decision win over rising Chinese star Zou Shiming (6-1 with 1 KO). Casimero’s long-time promoter Sammy Gello-ani said the 25-year-old fighter, who holds a 21-2 win-loss record with 13 knockouts, is now in good fighting condition. Ruenroeng, 35, is trained and coached by Filipino promoter Aljoe Jaro. The Thai champion is known for his run-and-hit tactics and great stamina.
