Rep. Winston “Winnie” Castelo of Quezon City on Tuesday sought the immediate blacklisting of private contractors that failed to meet their deadline for the reblocking of portions of the 26-kilometer Epifanio delos Santos Avenue (EDSA).
Traffic jams on EDSA greeted motorists right after the Holy Week break. The cement in the portions of the road that underwent reblocking is not yet to dry to date. The private contractors, who were commissioned by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), had until Tuesday or April 22 to finish their job.
