Catanduanes drug pusher falls

A SUSPECTED pusher was arrested by operatives of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) during a buy-bust operation in Catanduanes.

Arturo Cacdac Jr., PDEA director general undersecretary, identified the suspect as 33-year-old Calvin Regaton, a painter and resident of Barangay Gogon, Sirangan, Virac, Catanduanes.

Seized from Regaton was 25 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, with an estimated value of P135,000.

PDEA Regional Special Enforcement Team (RSET)-Regional Office 5 agents, under Director Archie Grande, arrested Regaton after he sold five sachets of shabu to a poseur-buyer at a lodge in Barangay Santa Elena, Virac, Catanduanes, on November 16.

Regaton is presently under the custody of PDEA-RSET. He will be charged for violation of Section 5 (Sale of Dangerous Drugs), Article II, Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
