Cavite to enforce vehicle color coding starting December 22


TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite: The provincial government will start implementing the Unified Vehicular Reduction System (UVRS) on December 22 along the highway and major thoroughfares. Gov. Jesus Remulla said the ordinance passed by the provincial legislative council seeks to regulate the operation of private vehicles plying the Aguinaldo Highway from Bacoor City to Tagaytay City; Molino Boulevard to Paliparan in Dasmarinas City; Governors Drive to Carmona and Trece Martires City to Daang Hari Road. It will restrict cars, motorcycles, trucks and other private vehicles with license plate numbers ending 1-2 on Mondays; 3-4 Tuesdays; 5-6 on Wednesdays; 7-8 on Thursdays; and 9 and 0 on Fridays from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Violators will be fined with a minimum of P300.
