The Cavite Provincial Police Office conducted random drug testing on 200 members of the Cavite police force on Friday morning.
As early as 7 a.m., the policemen together with selected officers from different police stations underwent random drug testing at Camp Pantaleon Garcian in Imus City, Cavite.
The order was implemented by Cavite Provincial Director Joselito Esquivel Jr. to remove all scalawags from the police. He said that police in uniform should be the first to follow with clean hands.
The drug testing was conducted by the Cavite Provincial Crime Laboratory Office to ensure the independence and impartiality of the results. Deputy Police Director for Administration Police Supt. Gregorio Evangelista Jr., stated that those who will be found positive for using illegal drugs will be charged administratively and will be dismissed from the service.
