Cavite police launch ‘Oplan Galugad’

Camp Pantaleon Garcia, Cavite: The Cavite Provincial Police Office and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology with support units launched a joint, simultaneous and province-wide Oplan Galugad dubbed as Oplan “DU-PRES” or “Duaw Presohan,” a Visayan term for jail visitation/inspection recently. It aims to complement the Oplan Tokhang or Toktok-Hangyo, also a Visayan term for knock and appeal. Senior Supt. Arthur Bisnar, the provincial police director, said the campaign will cover 13 jails in Cavite. The campaign stemmed from controversies in the New Bilibid Prisons and other government correctional facilities that had been found with contraband such as illegal drugs and communication equipment.
