Cavite’s Remulla withdraws candidacy

CAVITE Governor Juanito Victor “Jonvic” Remulla has withdrawn his certificate of candidacy (CoC) for governor Wednesday, a day before the deadline for substitution of candidate.

His brother, former Congressman Jesus Crispin “Boying” Remulla, will instead run for the province’s highest position.

The governor said he will concentrate on his postgraduate studies after serving his second term next year.

Crispin is a former three-term congressman of Cavite’s 3rd district. He is running under the banner of Partido Magdalo, ally of the United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) of Vice President Jejomar Binay.
