• Cavite’s top drug suspect killed

DASMARIÑAS CITY: An illegal drug suspect tagged as No. 1 in the watch list of Cavite’s Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operation Task Force (PAIDSOTF) was killed by joint operatives of the city police, Intelligence Group and village security force on Saturday.

According to Police Superintendent Rodolfo Caoili Hernandez, the city police station’s officer-in-charge, the combined law enforcers tracked down Pamboy Adorable Pangotata, 35, who was placed under surveillance by police early on Thursday morning in his residence in Barangay Paliparan 3 in this city.

Hernandez said the village tanod (barangay security force) approached and prodded the suspect to surrender when the latter pulled his caliber .38 pistol and aimed at the law enforcers.

As the suspect tried to shoot at the police operatives, his gun malfunctioned prompting the lawmen to retaliate and hit him in the body resulting in his immediate death.

Dasmariñas police said Pangotara was as resident of General Mariano Alvarez (GMA), Cavite and temporarily staying in Paliparan 3 village in this city.

Police said Pangotara was responsible for the series of shootings and robbery incidents in Barangays II and III, and Salawag in this city.

He was also involved in the senseless killing of Police Officer 1 Jay Delos Santos a few years ago.

Joint operatives recovered from the suspect a firearm loaded with five live ammunitions, a fired cartridge case and transparent plastic sachets containing shabu (methamphetamine).

Why is it, that the minor minions (i.e small fry, baki-baki etc) of the illegal drug industry gets shot/killed yet the drug-lords, the chinese shabu cooks caught red-handed in possession of billion peso worth of the illegal substance basically ‘gets away’ with a slap on the wrist punishment?
