The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) has created a website that will inform netizens about details of the apostolic visit of Pope Francis to the Philippines in January 2015.
Unlike ordinary websites, the papalvisit.ph website provides the netizens with the accurate number of weeks, days, hours, minutes and seconds before the Pope’s visit.
It also presents an icon of a smiling Pope Francis and children from areas hit by Typhoon Yolanda giving the pontiff a warm welcome.
Below the website is a presentation of the official theme song for the 2015 apostolic visit of Pope Francis.
The music was composed and arranged by Noel Diño Espenida and was written and performed by Jamie Rivera with the Hail Mary The Queen Children’s Choir.
At writing, there are more than 20 weeks and 61 days left before the papal visit.
The CBCP said the theme of the papal visit is “Mercy and Compassion.”
Manila Archbishop Luis Antonio Cardinal Tagle recently said the Pope will personally visit victims of disaster-hit areas in 2013.
He added that the pontiff will first visit Sri Lanka from January 12 to 15 before flying to the Philippines.
